Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Metformin Hydrochloride………………………………500mg
Glibenclamide Tablets……………………………………2.5mg
Indications:
It can be used as second-line treatment for patients with type II diabetes who fail to control blood glucose level satisfactorily with diet control and exercise plus metformin or sulfonylurea.
Dosage:
Take it orally, with meals. The recommended starting dose is one tablet twice a day (500mg/2.5mg). The dose should be gradually increased until the lowest dose is achieved for good control of the patient’s hyperglycemia. The maximum daily dose is not more than four tablets (2000mg/10mg).
Contraindications:
• Kidney disease or renal insufficiency.
• Congestive heart failure requiring drug treatment.
• People who are allergic to metformin or glyburide.
• Acute and chronic metabolic acidosis.
• Hypotension and hypoxia before intravenous pyelography or arteriography, major surgery, and clinical conditions.
• Patients with type I diabetes.
• Pregnant and lactating women.
• Children.
Warnings:
• This product may cause hypoglycemia.
• Patients should monitor renal function, liver function and blood sugar during medication.
• Use drugs that affect kidney function or eliminate metformin with caution.
• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
• 5, liver insufficiency should not be used.
• Appropriate VitB12 supplement.
Adverse Effects:
• Gastrointestinal reaction.
• Fatigue, dizziness and rash.
• A few lactic acidosis.
• rare jaundice, liver function damage, bone marrow suppression, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, etc.
