Amoxicillin is an indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections.

Composition:
Each capsule contains:
Amoxycillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to Amoxycillin…………………. 500mg


Indications: 
Urinary – tract infections, upper respiratory – tract infections, bronchitis; pneumonia; otitis media; dental abscess; osteo – myelitis; Lyme disease in children; gynecological infections; gonorrhea; Helicobacter pylori eradication. Endocarditis prophylaxis.


Dosage:
•  Severe infection due to sensitive organisms: Adult and child over 10 years: 1 capsule every      8 hours. Child up to 10 years: ½ capsule every 8 hours. (Or according to physician).
•  Severe or recurrent purulent respiratory – tract infections: Adult: 6 capsules every 12 hours.
•  Dental abscess: Adult: 6 capsules repeated once after 8 hours.
•  Urinary – tract infections: Adult: 6 capsules repeated once after 8 hours.
•  Gonorrhea: Adult: 6 capsules as a single dose.
•  Otitis media: Child aged 3 – 10 years: 1 ½ capsules twice daily for 2 days.


Contraindications:
•  Hypersensitivity to Penicillin.


Precautions:
•  History of allergy.
•  Renal impairment.
•  Pregnancy and breastfeeding.


Adverse effects: Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea; rashes (hypersensitivity or toxic response; may be serious reaction should discontinue treatment); hypersensitivity reactions including urticaria, anaphylaxis.


Dosage form: Brown-Yellow capsule.


Expiry date: 3 years after date of manufacture.


Packaging:
•  10 capsules per blister, 10 blister per box.


Storage:
•  Store in original packaging, below 30°C.
•  Keep out of reach of children.
