ຂໍ້ບົ່ງໃຊ້:
• Second-line treatment of type-2 diabetes in patients under 60: as monotherapy when metformin is not tolerated or contraindicated.
• Used in combination with metformin when glycemic control is inadequate with metformin alone.
ວິທີໃຊ້:
• Initial dose: 2.5 to 5 mg once a day, taken orally with first meal. Dose adjustment: according to blood glucose response, increase by no more than 2.5 mg per week; Maintenance dose: 12.5 to 20 mg ; Maximum dose: 20 mg/day.
ຂໍ້ຫ້າມໃຊ້:
• Allergy to sulfonamides.
• Type I diabetics, juvenile diabetes, ketoacidosis.
• Severe renal or hepatic impairment.
ຄຳເຕືອນ:
• The following situations should be used with caution: weak constitution, high fever, nausea and vomiting, hyperthyroidism.
