Composition:
Each tablet contains: Apixaban…………………………………. 2.5mg.


Indications:
Anticoagulant used for the prophylaxis of stroke and systemic embolism and the prevention of venous thromboembolic events (VTE) in adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement.


Dosage:
•  The recommended dose for most patients is two 2.5mg tablets taken orally twice daily, taken with water, on a full or empty stomach. The first dose should be between 12-24 hours after surgery.
•  For patients undergoing hip replacement: the recommended course of treatment is from 32 to 38 days;
•  For patients undergoing knee replacement: the recommended course of treatment is from 10 to 14 days.


Precautions:
•  If severe bleeding occurs, apixaban should be discontinued immediately.
•  Apixaban is not recommended during pregnancy.


Contraindications
•  Those who are allergic to the active ingredient or any excipients in the tablets are contraindicated.
•  Apixaban is contraindicated in patients with liver disease with coagulopathy and clinically associated bleeding risk. Apixaban is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment.


Adverse effects
•  Common adverse reactions include anemia, bleeding, bruising and nausea.
•  Apixaban may cause an increased risk of internal bleeding in some tissues or organs, which may lead to anemia.


Dosage form: This product is a yellow film-coated tablet.


Expiry date: 3 years after date of manufacture.


Packaging: 28 tablets per bottle.


Storage
•  Store below 30℃ in original packaging.
•  Keep out of reach of children.
