Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate……………………………………….300mg


Indication:
• HIV infection, in combination with other antiretrovirals.
• Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), in combination with Lamivudine (3TC) or Emtricitabine (FTC).


Dosage:
• Child 35kg and over and adult: 300mg once daily.
• Duration of treatment depends on the efficacy and tolerance of tenofovir.


Contraindications:
• Administer with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Monitor renal function, in event of deterioration of renal function, switch to another antiretroviral.
• Avoid combination with (or monitor renal function in the event of combination) with nephrotoxic drugs: aminoglycosides (e.g., Gentamicin, Streptomycin), Amphotericin B, Pentamidine, etc.


Warning:
• Administer with caution and monitor use with NSAIDs.


Adverse effects:
• May cause gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.), dizziness, fatigue, skin rash, renal impairment, bone loss (osteoporosis, fractures), pancreatitis.

Expiry date24 months after date of manufacture.

Storage:
• Store at room temperature (under 25ᵒC), protected from moisture and direct sunlight away from children.
