On 15 July 2026, the Food and Drug Department, Ministry of Health, Lao PDR issued a certificate of drug registration for ALI-LENA® Injection (lenacapavir sodium 473.1 mg, equivalent to lenacapavir 463.5 mg / 1.5 mL) under registration number 07-LM-10047-26.
As registered, lenacapavir is a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) capsid inhibitor, indicated in combination with other antiretroviral(s) for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in heavily treatment-experienced adults with multidrug-resistant HIV-1 whose current antiretroviral regimen is failing due to resistance, intolerance or safety considerations.
ALI-LENA Injection is a prescription medicine, manufactured by Alliance Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd at Simmanoneua Village, Hadsayfong District, Vientiane Capital, and supplied to authorized distributors in Lao PDR. It is presented as a sterile, preservative-free solution for subcutaneous injection, 1.5 mL per glass vial, two vials per carton.
